Happy Birthday to me!

On my birthday, we went over to my parents house and had some fun family time. Naomi spent lots of time in the football hold, apparently it's her favorite.

My favorite part about my birthday is eating all my favorite foods. For lunch I had Chicago dogs, for dinner I had KFC and for dessert Becky bought had a Cold Stone Creamery cake. Coffee flavored with heath bars, yum!

We put Naomi in this old fashion cradle my mom bought and fixed up. She loves it.
We love that Naomi is starting to be more aware and interactive with us. Becky had her sliding herself up the cradle using her feet. It was so cute! She would push herself up and then give a big open mouthed grin with her tongue out and head to the side. One time when she grinned Becky said "Holy cow, that face looked exactly like Mrs. Manthe (meaning Jake's mom, Jennifer)" It's so exciting to see pieces of people we love in her.

  3. PS: That Cold Stone cake looks AMAZING!!! It seems like it would kick DQ's booty.

  5. Naomi is getting so big! Don't you just love their smiles and grins. I could just eat them up! Speaking of eating up...that cake looks amazing. I may have to hint to Joe to get Cold Stone instead of DQ. How does it rank?

  6. Hi Katie, I'm one of Jake's old classmates from high school. I'm helping organize our 10 year class reunion and wanted to get ahold of Jake to let him know about it. Josh pointed me in the right direction (and also told me that he didn't think Jake had an email account and perhaps doesn't know how to use a computer...haha), so I was able to find your blog via Facebook.

The reunion is going to be 10/14-10/15/11 (Homecoming weekend) in Leavenworth, but we don't have a final schedule of events yet. I made a website where I'll be posting important announcements: http://pioneer2001reunion.blogspot.com/. You can also join our Facebook Group, just search for 'Leavenworth High School Class of 2001 Ten Year Reunion' and add yourself. 170+ members of our class are in the group if Jake's interested in reconnecting. Or, if you can't find it for whatever reason, you can add me as a friend, and I'd be happy to add you to the group.

We really hope that you, Jake, and your beautiful baby girl will be able to join us for reunion. Please let me know if you have any questions, and please tell Jake hello for me. Take care, and have a Happy Easter! ~Wenfei Xie
