Today, my sister-in-law, Heidi, and I put together an amazing dinner for a couple amazing fathers. There was no question what our husband and their father would request for dinner, so here it is
"the works"
in case your not familiar with that term, here's the webster definition
the works
noun \ˈ the wərks\1
: a meal in which a turkey or roast is served with mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, and rolls. Other various dishes may be added but are not required.
Here are Heidi and I dutifully leaving Jennifer's kitchen as spotless as we found it.
P.S. Jennifer, you were sorely missed this evening. I am glad you are having fun over there but it is literally no fun to cook in your kitchen without you :~(
Way to go girls!!
ReplyDeleteWhat I want to know is who's plate is this with just one lonely piece of asparagus???? :)
Awwww...I miss cooking (and cleaning up, I guess) in there with you guys! =) Way to go! Jennifer and I had salads on Father's Day - they were yummy, but I'll take "the works" anyday!
