Happy Independence Day

For Independence Day, we started out the day with a late lunch at my parents. A few of my siblings were there as well as my Uncle G.A. and his family. The kids did a few small fireworks but we spent most of he day inside watching movies and enjoying the air conditioning. Naomi is the only baby on my parents side these days and there is not near enough of her to go around. Everyone was very good about taking turns and sharing, though. I'm proud of you guys :~)

The only way I can get Naomi to take a good nap when were out right now is to put her in my moby wrap. Here she is in it. I think she looks so sweet when she's asleep
Red even got in a little on the holiday fun. My cousin, Austin, really wore him out. He chased and chased Red around the yard. It was so funny. Plus we loved that Red was so tired. He was asleep in the car before we even made it out of the driveway.

 Love this picture!

Later on in the evening we went to Jakes brothers house to watch fireworks and do a few of our own. Next year, I'll have to get a picture of Jake lighting fireworks with his blowtorch. He's pretty funny.  Here's the girls ready for fireworks.

I was a little afraid that I would spend most of the holiday inside because Naomi would be scared of the fireworks, but it turned out that she really likes them. Here are a few pictures of her watching a fountain.

Also, I gave Naomi a little bit of cereal this week. I'm so surprised at how quickly she caught on to the whole idea of eating with a spoon. She really loved it. I'm a little sad that my baby is eating food. She's so big!

  1. I'm totally interested in this moby wrap! Is it something that I could make? She looks so cute in it!

I love the pics of her mesmerized by the fireworks! She's going to have her own blowtorch before too long!
