Earlier this week we got together with my mom for some birthday tacos and then some cake and ice cream. Naomi had a cold and wasn't feeling real great but consented to pose for a few pictures with the birthday girl. I love the polite smile on her face. It looks like she really is trying to smile but is just not feeling it.
One of the things Naomi most enjoyed about the night was getting to see Lizzy, my brother's golden retriever. She has seen her lots before but for some reason she was really interested in her this time. She stared at her lots and petted her a little. Lizzy was so sweet about Naomi's not-so-gentle petting

Also this week we went to the Valentine's show at Jennifer's school. For those of you who've never been, the show is put on by the select choir group as a fund raiser. They sing all kinds of love songs. There are solos, duets, and group numbers. Some are show tunes, some are popular songs. It is a lots of fun. Anyway, I wanted to take Naomi but was kind of nervous about how it would go. It is two and a half hour long (counting intermission). So I packed my bag with all sorts of toys and goodies and planned on spending most of my time standing in the back. BUT... to my great surprise, Naomi sat on my lap and watched the whole thing. I couldn't believe it. She loved every bit. I'm not joking you I think she sat on my lap more last night then she has the last 6 months put together. It was so neat that she liked it. I can't wait to do it again. Here she is all dressed up in her sweetheart dress after the show.
With that much musical talent in her DNA it is no wonder she liked it! :-)
