I think we'll call her...

Let's start out with the most exciting news first. Here's Naomi announcing her new baby sister's name. We're going with Jennifer for a middle name, after Jake's mom. That was the easy part. Even after going many rounds with him, I couldn't win Jake over to love Esther but I like this name too, and I LOVE when Naomi says it. It sounds so sweet. I think she points at herself when she says it because I point to my belly when I say it. How cute is that!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Earlier this week we met Monica at Chick-fil-a for a playdate. We love getting together with them and since our husbands are on the same work schedule it is easy to find time. Well, easier anyway. we really don't do this near enough.

This was Naomi's first time to play at a play place. She was really unsure at first but ultimately decided to join in the fun.

 This is Henry's sister and Naomi's new best friend, Lilly. Naomi loves Lilly sooo much. She is always talking about her and wanting to rock and touch her. I'm not sure if this is good or bad news for our #2. Sibling love is great but I'm afraid too much toddler love is not a good thing for a newborn.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Yesterday, I realized that it's while since I posted any video so I broke out the video camera to document some of Naomi's recent progress.
She loves to play outside and, as long as the weather is nice, it's kind of nice to be out there with her. She still needs a hand on the slide and likes to be pushed in the swing but sometimes she'll just walk around and play by herself and I lay in the hammock. She spends a lot of time trying to play with Red but she can't quite keep up yet.

She's learning to eat pretty well with a spoon and fork these days. Some bites get in better then others. Here's a pretty good one.

Naomi is trying lots of new words lately. Here are some of them...

That was hot dog, in the first video. Followed by please, and Red. And, yes, I bribed her with Cheetoes to get these videos.

I'm not sure where this fits in but I want to remember that Naomi, at this stage, loves to say hi to people. Honestly, I find it a little embarrassing but at the store she will give a nice loud "hi!" to everyone she sees and sometimes she'll keep saying it until she gets a response. I'm not sure if it's a stage every baby has or if it has something to do with her personality. I'm thinking it won't be too long until we start talking about stranger danger.

  2. Bo does the same thing as Naomi's "hi" but his is showing his muscles until people saying something. I'm afraid people don't get what he's doing and think he's weird. lol At least Naomi just says "hi".
