All dressed up

I finally decided it was time to stop being lazy and get Leah out of pajamas. So here she is four weeks old and ready for church.

Aren't these shoes darling!

How's it going after one month with Leah? Mmmm, depends on the day. Most days Leah's pretty cranky. She likes to be bouncing and moving all the time. Sometimes the swing will do, usually not.

Naomi really loves her sister and gets a kick out of holding her. Whenever Leah is upset she likes to tell her "It's ok, Leah." She's always asking to hug and kiss her. It's totally sweet but a little exhausting since she has to be watched so closely.

She's been spending nights in the swing lately and will usually sleep one five hour chunk but the rest of the day is pretty ready for a feeding every 2-3 hours. She really likes to sleep on her tummy which is against the rules but I sometimes let her spend an hour sleeping that way if she's in the living room where I can watch her close. Another way she sleeps well is squeezed between a pillow and the arm of the couch. I'm pretty sure she feels like we're still holding her in this position. Genius, right?

  2. Hang in there, Katie. Those first few months are the toughest, but it will get better! Norah slept in her swing for at least 6 months! :) And, if it makes you feel any better, I let Joey start sleeping on his tummy at 2 months old because that's how he slept the best. :)

  3. Great pictures! I remember being terrified to let Avery sleep on her tummy but it was the only way that girl would sleep :) Then when Raegan came along i continued to throw all rules out the window and let her sleep wherever she would sleep which was mostly in the swing or on me. Don't feel bad for doing what works and what helps you get some much needed sleep!
