Leah is my favorite age

Looking back at Leah's 8 month post, I can hardly believe how far she has come in one month. She was just starting bits of table food then and now is eating almost exclusively table food. She was not moving at all a month ago (even a week ago, really) but on Friday she started crawling AND pulling up. She is starting to show a little attitude when she is not getting what she wants which is a problem because I don't know what she wants most of the time. Hopefully she figures out how to talk soon. I love that she is getting big! I filled up out little pool in the backyard yesterday and Leah had a blast. She just crawled around and splashed and had the time of her life. I realized too late that I should've take pictures. I will next time. I did take a short video, though. I could hardly believe when she crawled over, pulled the hose out of the pool and started drinking out of it. I recovered from my shock just in time to record a few seconds.

When I was getting out Leah's 12 month clothes this week, Naomi found this costume from her first Halloween. She really wanted to put it on. I was surprised we could squeeze her into it. And now she's ready to fill her bucket with candy and doesn't understand that Halloween is still months away. Drat. Oh, speaking of candy, many of you may know I am a candy hoarder. I like to have candy more then I like to eat it really. There is a ton of it in my house (which is exactly how I like it). Naomi is starting to show signs of it too which cracks me up and baffles Jake :~). If you give her a pack of fruit snacks she will eat all but a few and carry them around the rest of the day. At naptime the other day we were making her give up some candy out of her pocket, you should have seen her sobbing! You would have thought we were hurting her when we made her eat them or put them in the trash.
