We did Easter up right last weekend with a huge family gathering with all the bells and whistles. Aunt Chrissie came by for snuggles in the morning before helping us head out for the church Easter egg hunt. We had a little Easter lesson there at the church and then the kids had at the TONS of eggs there. Then they got an Easter Basket and were let loose on tables filled with prizes and more candy. It was amazing.
After the hunt the kids and guys went back to my parents house and the girls (and Silas) went WEDDING DRESS SHOPPING!!!! That's right, folks, my number 2 sister is engaged and wedding planning is in full swing. Here she is with the lucky guy, Peter. So excited for them!
Nothing is more fun then playing "Say yes to the dress."
While we shopped Naomi and Leah were playing all kinds of fun Easter games and toys with my dad, Aaron, and Aunt Darcy.
And then the egg hunting began again. I have never even seen a cuter bunch of egg hunters.
Just looking at this picture makes me laugh out loud. Jake was standing talking with Aaron and Dave and I asked him to smile for a picture. As he started to give me his usual bad attitude toward me and my camera, my brother and Aaron leaned in for a pose. I love it!
Silas missed out on the egg hunting but is did get lots of quality time with my aunts, uncles, and cousins.
On Sunday we headed off to church for the real Easter celebration. Not gonna lie, I love easter candy but, even more then that, I love to think on the resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ. He lives!
We ended the weekend with some bedtime snuggles. These girls love their brother.
