Silas is already 9 months old and let me tell you, he is keeping me on my toes these days. He crawls and cruses everywhere and is into everything. I've never had a crawler before and I'm torn between thinking it is super cute and a super pain in the rear. I REALLY like those days where they just sit and reach and that's it.
He is sporting 7 teeth now. For a while he just had one on the top way to the left. And had a dashing little lopsided smile but in the past week three more top choppers have arrived. His sleeping has been hit or miss lately (likely because of the new choppers). He cried it out earlier this month and it only too TWO nights before he got the hang of going to sleep on his own. Sometimes he still cries some if he's not ready to go to sleep but he is pretty good about getting the hint that it's bed time and he needs to go to sleep (and by pretty good I mean even better then Leah some nights)
one tooth smile
Silas loves his baby food and finger food, takes a bottle real well if there isn't too much going on, and is now officially done breast-feeding. He still takes one bottle in the night but mostly because I'm too lazy to wake him up and feed him before I go to sleep. Somehow I'd rather get up and feed him at 4am then get off the couch 10 minutes earlier in the evening to give him a snack to make it through.
While Silas has been growing and changing like crazy Leah has been doing her best to keep pace. She started doing chores now and does shockingly well at them.
She has quite the personality most days. This is her help-me-Naomi-is-bothering-me-face. We see it lots.
And this is her Yes!-I-love-getting-my-way face. (P.S. mom, don't you love this shirt?!) A few days ago she woke up suddenly interested in the big girl potty so she has spent the last couple of days running around the house naked from the waist down with no accidents. It is looking like we are getting close to having another big girl!
Having I ever mentioned that Naomi and Jake are two peas in a pod. They have so many similarities it cracks me up. They could both do this all day.

Silas is getting so big! Such adorable kids and a kinda cute dog.. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat shirt is super adorable! Silas found a way to crawl in those diapers!?!? Way to go Silas!
