Bad Mom Award- Halloween Edition

This year halloween was super chilly. We were so thankful to be spending the evening inside at our church's trunk-or-treat. I wish I had more pictures of my little Merida, Snow White, and Robin. I was already halfway through a bag of Snickers at this point so I guess I'll blame it on sugar coma.

At the trunk-or-treat. I set up a little tent with a TV inside for the girls to watch movies after they collected their candy. They thought it was lots of fun. Well, at first anyway. Notice the candy buckets inside the tent? I let then take them in thinking that Naomi was big enough to know when enough was enough. Unfortunately after bringing on candy, Jennifer took them down to the hot gym to play on the bouncy houses. You can see where this is headed, can't you... When the trunk-or-treat was over Jennifer brought back a very sick little Naomi. I felt SO bad. I guess I totally over estimated the amount of candy that could make a kiddo sick. So much for motherly instincts. A walk to the car in the fresh air had her feeling a little better but the feeling was short lived. Thankfully she made it home and gave me time to grab a bowl before tossing her cookies, or her candy that is. She felt much better after that, though. Lessoned learned... for two of us.

Mr Butler, an awesome children's minister at EGBC, dressed up in full Batman costume. The all the kids got such a kick out of him. I'd say he and Silas make a good looking pair.

I'm pretty sure Naomi and Leah each had their first sucker on Halloween so I had to keep up the tradition.

  1. Love the costumes! Robin is adorable of course. :-) Your movie theater is awesome! I think I would've spent the whole evening in there.
