Thanksgiving

Lately I’ve been feeling really grateful. And tired. But mostly grateful.  Everywhere I turn, there’s something to make me realize how lucky I am to be a mom, to be a wife and to live in a beautiful little town in a gorgeous free country.  During night time feeding I've been reading "Kisses for Katie" a book by an 18 year old missionary to Uganda. It has made me realize that I take WAY too many things for granted. One thing for sure is that I am so loved and so thankful for that.

This year, Thanksgiving found us at each of our parents houses introducing Eve to all of our favorite people. It was great to have all kinds of extra hands to help keep her happy. I thoroughly enjoyed having my hands free for eating.

I have great memories of making houses like this as a kid so I seized a my-hands-are-free moment and made it happen. The kids had a blast, especially Silas. I found out a week later that he had stashed a pile of M and M's inside his house and has been snacking on it all week. Now I know why he is always crawling up on the table to look at his house. He is pretty sneaky, that one.

If only we all looked this cute passed out from too much turkey.

I do love it when my kids are getting in lots of cousin play time.

Joey and Silas were the only two boy cousins around this time. Joey was so sweet and gentle wrestling and playing catch with Silas. Silas though it was the coolest thing.

Eve got lots of attention from the girl cousins. They are all great little helpers.
