Time to unpack the blog

I find myself being so far behind on the ol' blog I have considered throwing in the towel but I enjoy browsing old post too much to do that which leaves nothing but jumping in with both feet. So... THREE weeks ago on Thursday my friend Monica came over without her kids and we packed my whole entire house. It was a lot, lot bigger job then I had imagined. I have been packing various closets and out of season items for quite some time so I though I had most of it done but that turned out to be entirely untrue. I'm so, so thankful she gave up her day for me. I don't know what I would have done without her. On that day, Silas had the beginnings of a croupy cough. No fun for sure.

Then came moving day. I was so overwhelmed and humbled by the amount of help people offered and gave. All of our things were moved to our new house in a matter of hours. It was so exciting and fun to be in our house.  We went back and did a quick clean up at our old house, said one last prayer there, and then the real work began...

The 2 weeks were spent looking. Looking for everything. Even stuff that was unpacked was lost. Meanwhile Silas' cough had worsened and spread to everyone. We had fevers and coughs across the board. We went through two bottles of children's Tylenol, lost lots of hours of sleep, had three visits to the doctors office with ear infections, and ate out...alot. Like every single day. Oh, and we had no internet for 6 days. Nothing like finding out how hopelessly addicted to Pinterest you actually are. It left a lot of free time for arguing. I'm pretty sure when Jake came out on and found me sleeping on the couch with poor sick Eve on Valentines Day he gave me a sarcastic Happy Valentines Day and I responded with "I'm sick of you." Yep, that's love under stress for ya. I took a grand total of three pictures over those two weeks. How sad is that? I can't even believe I let that happen.

On a happier note, since Silas stared the cough he was over it before the others but we were still stuck at home with everyone else's sick germs so I decided I potty train him. I've been nervous about boy potty training but turns out there was no reason for concern. He potty trained as easily or possibly even easier then the girls. He is so proud of his big boy status.
