H is for halloween

We kicked off the halloween fun on Saturday with this pumpkin carving extravaganza. It always cracks me up how fast the pumpkin carving excitement diminishes at the prospect of sticking your arm into the stringy pumpkin guts.

Saturday night we headed to a trunk-or-treat and then to Jennifer's to party. We had so much fun! Dinner was ghost sandwiches and mummy hot dogs, then the kids decorated cookies and watched Halloween Toy story.

Most of the kids just LOADED their cookies up with frosting and sprinkles until it was a mountain of sticky sugar. It was refreshing to see Mackenzie and Bella's super cute cookie creations.

Then, on Halloween I got a call from the school that Naomi had thrown up and I needed to come get her. I was so bummed out for her. Luckily she has never been to a school party and didn't really know what she was missing. We told her she could still trick or treat but she felt pretty sick and wasn't interested. So she stayed hime with Jake while the rest of us went to my moms to trick or treat. Eve had her first happy meal and she really loved it. I think she ate more then any of the other kids.

I've never realized how similar these girls look. How did I miss that?

On the way home we stopped at Becky's to trick or treat. Leah sat right down to have a conversation with this turkey. She's funny like that.
