Jake took some vacation days recently but since me and my giant belly are barely making it these days we opted for a staycation over making a trip. There is so, so much fun stuff to do around here anyway it was really no hardship. We started out at the T-rex restaurant. As we walked through we were making comments about how we can't believe we don't go there much. It is such a neat place. Then the food came and we remembered. Bleh. The kids didn't notice though. They ate it all up and even had room for this smokin' cold ice cream dessert.
We also hit up Deanna Rose farmstead. Eve and Leah loved feeding the animals. Naomi, not so much.
Everyone loved bottle feeding the goats, though. They could do that all day.
The carousel at the mall was a popular stop. As was the bowling alley.
One day we visited Crown Center. I love that place. Silas and Leah absolutely loved the Thomas the Train exhibit. Naomi's favorite was kaleidoscope, Eve enjoyed the fountain, and I just wish we bought three times the fudge that we bought. Jake clearly doesn't know that fudge is essential for a healthy pregnancy.
There were a few other activities over the course of the weekend but somehow everyone's favorite was the night we camped out in the living room. I'm not sure if it was the snacks or the late bedtime that was the major draw but we will defiantly be doing it again soon.
Such a fun staycation! I am gonna have to try that cool ice cream and maybe camping out in the living room.
