Circus

A few weeks ago we got a chance to go to a small circus that came through town. It was a pretty neat, fun time. Naomi surprised me by jumping up and buying our cotton candy by herself when Jake offered. It is neat to see her coming out of her shell more and more.

Everyone liked this girl who did acrobats from a swing. There was also big cats, trained horses, a contortionist, a tight rope walker, and a pack of adorable tiny white fluffy trained dogs. The kids seemed to love it all really. I found myself thinking that all of the acts were entirely too dangerous for me to enjoy watching in person (well except the fluffy dogs). I cringed in each act, hoping for the best but imagining the worst. No joke, I'm pretty sure even a unicycle crash could do some real damage. So I'm sure you can imagine my position on watching the lion tamer.
