Silas is 6

This year, the timing worked out perfectly for Silas to go see Monster Jam as a birthday/special day out with daddy time. Jason, Jody, and Thomas went along too. Silas thought it was awesome!

For his party, my sister made a Monster Truck cake that that turned out amazing and Silas chose nachos for dinner. For a fun activity, I printed off a scavenger hunt that had the kids running around finding clues and ending with a fun basket of goodies for each of them.

This year, Silas has turned into quite a special young man. He is loving Kindergarten and makes friends with just about everyone he meets. He is very laid back and is quick to flash a smile just about anytime. We call Silas our collector because he loves to keep little stashes of "treasure" everywhere. He has a couple of tackle boxes and dresser drawers full of stuff. Even his pillowcase is so full of little toys he can hardly keep his pillow in it.

Silas also has figured out the fine art of helping in the kitchen to earn extra treats. He is always jumping up on a stool and asking to help but only stays I'm making something he is interested in sampling. Here, he is making mashed potatoes with Nana.
