Bye-Bye Baby food

This week Naomi decided that she was tired of me doing all the spooning. And since she makes a royal mess with the spoon, I have started giving her mostly soft table food with only a bit of pureed food if I have time and energy for a major clean-up job. She is loving it, too, especially since I also let her have some sweets. 

Jeff was here this weekend with Courtney we had a lot of fun chatting and hanging out with them. In this picture Courtney is sharing her cookie with Naomi. It was really cute.

 Naomi also got her first mimi M&M from Grandpa this weekend. It was kind of funny because when we were there earlier this week, I said Naomi could have an M&M if she let go of her toy and walked over to get it. I really didn't think there was much danger in that happening because she usually won't let go of something on her own but it wasn't long after Jody started shaking the M&M container, she let go of the toy and walked over to get it. He couldn't get her to eat an M&M, though, she just wanted to play with the container. But yesterday was a different story. He gave her a brown M&M and she put it in her mouth and wanted more. Needless to say, I sprinted for the camera and got a few shots of her enjoying her first M&Ms.

 Here is Jody saying they are all gone. She wasn't buying it. She spent the rest of the night trying to charm a few more M&Ms out of him.

Naomi is starting to show quite a bit of personality lately. When you push a button to start one of her music and light toys, she makes a gasp and then poses with an open mouthed surprise face. (Does that make sense?) I'm thinking I make that face for her a lot I guess that is my cue to tune it down a bit.
