To start off I have to post this picture from earlier in the week (if you're not a dog person please skip this part). Several years ago this picture would have made me ill, my daughter laying in a dog's bed. But somehow these two taking a break from playing together just warms my heart.

We are so excited to have two family weddings this summer. My sister is getting married in just a few weeks and Jakes brother is getting married shortly after that. Somehow both brides picked this weekend for a shower so we had double the showers and double the fun! I forgot my camera for Brianna's shower so I'm counting on
Michelle to cover it for me later in the week. It was so fun to get to know a little about Brianna through the newlywed game that Michelle put together. It turns out her favorite food is healthy food! She might be just what the Manthe sister-in-laws need to squelch our bad eating habits or we might possibly win her over to being a lover of everything sweet. Only time will tell.
Today we had a shower for Becky with all our friends from church. You'll have to enlarge the picture and get a good look at the mini banana splits we made. They were totally delicious.
Side note: I love when Naomi plants herself in the corner of a big chair like it fits her just perfectly.
Much to my disappointment when I got home I realized that all my gift opening shots have a little helper head blocking the view. Sorry about that...
Naomi was so glad her aunt Chrissie could make it down for the shower.
You have such cute little dresses for Naomi! :) I'm the non animal person that squirmed at the picture of her in the dog's bed...i tend to flinch when my kids pick up our cat but i am getting better everyday, or at least i'm trying to ;)
ReplyDeleteMost dog-child stuff doesn't bother me, but I draw the line at open-mouth kisses! The older kids know to close their mouths when Bo licks their face, but when they're babies, they open their mouths for everything. Ew.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, yay for bridal showers! Healthy food...I'm having a hard time wrapping my mind around that one. :) yeah, hopefully Brianna will be a good influence on us! Speaking of food, great snacks! I've seen those mini banana splits on Pinterest. So great!
