Grandma time

This week we were blessed to get to spend lots of time with our grandparents. First on Tuesday we went to see my Grandma Joy (when Naomi say it it sounds more like Grandma Joey) and Grandpa. They were delighted to meet Leah.

After a great lunch of Berox (grandma's speciality) we went back to the zoo there which Naomi loves. She especially got a kick out of watching the prairie dogs. And then we went to Brahms (best bananna splits ever). It was so much fun.

Next, on Wednesday, we went to Jake's grandma's. We had a wonderful lunch of homemade fried chicken made by one of her friends from church.
She has this bench out front. How cute is Naomi sitting with these little statues.

And last but not least we had dinner with Grammy for her birthday. I think she told the kids she turned 19 today.

So I have to share this funny story with you. Today we let Naomi down to walk through the grocery store for the first time. She was pretty good about walking beside the cart and loved her new point of view. I wish you all could have seen her face when we got to the isle with ketchup. it was priceless! She exclaimed "Ketchuuuup!" And ran to get a bottle to put in the cart. We let her put in one, just for fun. She thought we needed several more bottles, though, and wasn't very happy to stop at loading just one.

  1. That ketchup story is so funny! I didn't know there was Brahms near-ish by. That's a game changer!
