Genes so nice they made them twice!

 My sisters and I had a blast throwing a baby shower for my SIL, Lindsay, this past weekend. We made cookies on Friday night and gave Naomi a big one to keep herself occupied while we worked. She surprised me by not even eating one bite. She did, however, do some damage to the frosting.

 Here's some of the decor. We did all kinds of dips for snacks. It was so hard to choose only a few. There are TONS of delicious dip recipes on pinterest. In the end we settled on dill dip, 7 layer dip, smores dip, and fruit dip.

 Can you tell Lindsay is really excited to get bunches if diapers? Rumor has it she'll need more then 6,000 diapers in the next two years.

 After the shower we went to Cinzetti's to celebrate my mom's birthday ( HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!!!!!!!). If you don't know, it is an Italian restaurant where the kitchen is open and chefs are out making all kinds of food. You can walk around and take whatever you want buffet style. It is super fun. My mom walked Naomi around and let her pick her own food. She chose garlic mashed potatoes and fried fish (which I'm sure she thought was chicken strips but still ate it great). For dessert she chose cannolies but only ate the filling. They also had this to-die-for dessert called frutte del sol that is a bowl of sweet cream with berries and pound cake in it. Needless to say I embarrassed myself going back for thirds and fourths of it.
