Better Late then never

Naomi's birthday was waaaaay back on February 22. I can hardly even remember how events transpired but I will do me best :~) First off, check out these two pillowcase dresses I made. I've always wanted to make a pillowcase dress. I get two checks off my bucket list for this project. One for making these cute dresses and the other because I actually completed a project that I pinned on pinterest. Go me.

After pizza I put together a delicious ice cream sundae for Naomi complete with whip cream, sprinkles, and sparkly candle in the shape of a two. Unfortunately I dropped the candle on the way to the table and it broke. Darn it. Luckily, we were able to piece it back together enough to make it though one lighting. Naomi turned all shy when we started singing and covered her face. It was precious. We blew out the candle together.

 Ice cream sundae bar.

Naomi was blessed with tons and tons of super fun presents! She had a blast opening them and then we stuck them in the bags and took them home and she had a blast opening them again the next day. She carried them all upstairs one by one over the following week for us to play with.

We had the party at our church and were able to use their giant inflatables for the kids to play on. They had tons of fun. All but Naomi, that is. We knew she didn't like at McDonalds play places and it turns out she doesn't like giant inflatables either. She did, however, have lots of fun being pushed around in this car I picked up out of somebody's trash a few weeks ago. Go figure.

After the party she asked for "scratches" and Mickey mouse. She was really wiped out.

P.S. Most of the pictures are compliments of my amazing SIL, Val. This is my favorite of the whole bunch. Cutest pose ever!

As a two year old, Naomi is so fun. She talks nonstop when we are at home but turns suddenly terribly shy around new people or in new places. She loves candy, broccoli, olives, pickles, ice cream, and macaroni and cheese.  Her favorite things to do are ride in the wagon, look at pictures, and jump on our bed. She picks up songs real easily and also has an unbelievable memory for names.

Her two year stats were:
35 inches- 95th percentile
29lbs- 80th percentile

We did the height predictor at Babycenter.com and it said Naomi will be 5' 7" when full grown. I'm not sure how accurate that is but it sure is fun to imagine what she will look like when she's that big.
