While I can't say that Halloween is probably ever healthy this Halloween was especially unhealthy for me because I spent the day with the stomach flu. Naomi had a very mild case of it on Wednesday and so graciously shared it with me yesterday and Jake today. Anyway, Jake and Naomi both felt great yesterday so we dressed them up to do a little trick-or-treating. I went to a trunk or treat down the road with them for a few minutes so I could get some pictures but then I left Jake to it by himself. He handled it like a pro!
Naomi was sooo, not going to walk up to these ladies even though she knew they had candy but after Jake dragged her over and she got some candy in her bucket she warmed up to it real quick.
Leah had no such problems. She walked right up and held her little sack up for candy every time. She was thrilled to be toting a bag full of candy.
One the way back to the house, Naomi asked if she could have some candy. Leah just helped herself
After they dropped me off Jake took the girls out trick or treating around Jason's house. I'm so glad Heidi was there to take some pictures. Hannah and Naomi made the cutest little fairies ever!
After, the girls feasted on candy. Even Red got some. Naomi's first pick was Dots and Leah was sweet on suckers.
Earlier this week we carved pumpkins. Brace yourself for a picture below of Leah eating pumpkin innards. Even looking at it grosses me out. Despite our best efforts to keep them from her, she kept going back for more. It seems she likes the taste of raw pumpkin.
Wow I LOVE their costumes! So cute! Yeah eating the raw pumpkin does look gross. Red got candy!?! What a shocker!
