I moved out picnic table inside so they could eat in the living room. They got a big kick out of it
The menu included Iced Applesauce, frozen pizza, snowman noses, frozen peas, and snowball and ice candy for dessert.
My favorites of Leah's 18 month pictures. Don't you love the hat?! Jake's aunt Kris made it. It's adorable.
Our first urgent care visit, last week, led to our first ER visit and hospital visit this week. Turns out that the cold Naomi had and shared last week was RSV and though she beat it pretty easily it caused quite a bit of trouble for Silas and Leah (and me if were being honest). Through most of the day Sunday Silas was breathing a little rough. We took him to urgent care and they didn't seem concerned but by 9 that night it had gotten too bad for me to stand so Jake took him the ER while I stayed with Leah who was also pretty sick. He didn't require oxygen but they kept him there about 36 hours just to make sure he didn't get any worse. One of the things they did that really helped him was a deep suction where they put a little tube up his nose and down his throat to suck out all the gunck. It was the most terrible, wonderful thing I have ever experienced. He of course screamed and gagged and made me feel like I was feeding him to wild dogs but they got out an unbelievable amount of mucus (the respiratory therapist actually said getting that much mucus was "like Christmas"... ya, it was awkward) and it helped him breathe much better.
We are happy to be home now and on the mend. Everyone seems to be doing lots better except for me, darn it. They say RSV is only a "little cold" for adults. Feels more like getting hit by a truck if you ask me. Hopefully I will start feeling better soon. There is too much fun to be had outside in this beautiful spring weather to be stuck inside sick.
Sweet boy. I'm so glad he's feeling better!!
