Memorial Day

We started the summer off right this weekend with a trip to see, Jake's brother, Joe and his family for the weekend. The kids played so great together and spent lots of time out on the trampoline. Leah especially loved it. Is she not the cutest little thing jumping all by herself?!

 Saturday afternoon we had a super fun time at a splash park celebrating Kylah's birthday. It took my girls a little while to warm up to the idea but after a while they were running around like crazy.

Naomi was certain she was "freezing" after running around in the water for a couple of hours. I think it was the first time that hot blooded girl has felt cold in her entire life. I'm loving her picture smile these days. It's the same one I see...

 Joey and Silas made the cutest little cuddle buddies this weekend! Joey is the best little guy ever. I totally want to steal him. He is so sweet and kind with Naomi and Leah and incredibly gentle and great with Silas. While we were there, Joey gave Silas his very special baby blanket so he could have something to cuddle with and let me tell you Silas loves his new blanket and sleeps GREAT with it. I love that they share a special "boy cousin" bond and hope that Silas grows up to be as kind and helpful and him.

On Sunday, we got everyone dressed up for church. Michelle specified for the teacher that these two are in fact not twins but cousins. With the same last name, age, hair color, outfit, they could pass for twins any day.

Jake had to work on Monday but the kids and I went over to my parents for a little play time and we made one of my favorite foods. Can you guess what?

If that picture wasn't a good enough clue, this one should be. Mmmmm.

Leah lost interested in the fire pretty quickly so she went to sit on her favorite little bench. I'm not quite sure what she likes about it but she sure looks darn cute sitting there all by herself.

We played a little ring toss before we left,

and then headed home for some cuddle time. I keep telling Jake he is going to break the crib with this particular cuddle method. He doesn't believe me. Then again, it might just be worth it anyway.
