It feels like its been forever since I posted so I'm going to squeeze a post in even though I have a paper due (have I mentioned I completely and totally HATE grad school).
After spending a week in the hospital, Silas made a huge turn around on Thursday thanks to an awesome doctor I absolutely believe God sent to our room. We got to go home on Friday and Silas was a little shell shocked to be back in the presence of his crazy sisters.
We spent last week hanging out at home trying to keep our germs to ourselves. But there is never any shortage of fun. When we go outside these days the girls go straight out to check for cherry tomatoes but if there aren't any red ones Leah isn't afraid to dig into a big tomato.
When I need to work on school work I make the girls hang out in these cubbies and watch a movie. Hopefully that's not considered child abuse. It's not like I put the lid on...
By Saturday the girls seemed to be over their cold so we headed out to the DeSoto days parade with my family. The girls loved it.
Leah had quite the collection of treasures by the end of the parade.
I absolutely love this picture. I'm pretty sure this is exactly what my face looks like when I'm presented with a fresh funnel cake too.
It was a great game with lots of base runners to make it exciting though they lost in extra innings. I love going to Royals games and when they are in first place and actually have a shot at winning it is even better. I'm hoping for many more games like this one.
So fun! I can verify that is just about exactly what you look like when presented with a funnel cake (of course I think most of us look like that :-)). Glad to see grandpa and grandma could make it to the parade with you guys!
