Ready!

We have two little girls here that are SO ready for Christmas. We got out all our favorite Christmas toys and decorations this week. It's too bad the girls don't get that there are still several weeks till Christmas. Hopefully these Christmas toys can keep them distracted until it's here.

The girls had a blast doing the tree and we even included Silas in our traditional post-decoration egg nog.

 This Christmas marks a huge milestone for our family because Jake put up Christmas lights! He has always said he would never participate in such a ridiculous waste of money but that excuse was just not flying with Naomi. 

When I was taking this picture I heard Naomi say "Leah, look at that blue one. Isn't it so fashionable. " I have no idea where she gets this stuff.

I remember this stage when each of my girls started going back to their room to read books. I was unsure if it would be the same with Silas since he's a boy but he really loves reading at bedtime and often goes back and looks at books by himself too. I love it.
