A few weeks ago we went to my cousin, Zach's, wedding. I just love winter weddings they are always so beautifully unique. And this one did not disappoint. There was a small intimate ceremony on an outdoor patio with heaters everywhere and a giant fireplace. Afterwards we went right inside to a beautiful dinner. Everything was decorated in grey and sparkles. It was beautiful. Unfortunately, the best man speech occurred exactly at bedtime and the littles started making a scene so we had to duck out early. We will have to save the dancing all night for another time.
Even though we didn't get to stay long I'm so glad we went because I got to have an amazing conversation with my grandpa. He has Alzheimers and we don't always get a chance to connect these days but tonight he was in an exceptional mood. He called me over to his table and said he had been watching me with the kids and was so proud of me and was honored to be related to me. I'm so thankful for that moment in time.
The left coloring books at our table for the kids. How awesome is that! I could not help but laugh at Piper who kept sneaking bites of her crayon. She loves her a little blue dessert.
Crayons cannot taste good! But everyone looks so beautiful!
