In the days before Christmas the Manthe family took advantage of being all together to celebrate more then Christmas. Jody retired recently so we took a night to recognize that. The grandkids dressed up in his old work shirts and preformed an original song/chant they came up with which ended with an adorable grandkid/grandpa dog pile.
Eve was oblivious to the dog pile which is probably a good thing.
Then, the boys gave Jody the new TV they bought for a retirement/Christmas/Birthday gift. It was out with the old...
and in with the new.
The old TV is now a video game TV. This picture captured the grandkids playing but the big boys spent plenty of time on here too.
The next day, us wives spent a little kid free time together drinking hot chocolate, making Christmas crafts, and celebrating the coming arrival of Jason and Heidi's baby, Thomas.
This craft was super easy (for the people working with shatter free ornaments) and so cute!
Here we all are. That's a fun group, right there. Some hard-headed, some soft spoken. No need to name names, right girls? (wink wink)
