Typical January

The last few weeks we have been sick, sick, sick. So we have tried two stay home as much as possible and keep our germs to ourselves while simultaneously not picking up any new ones which never works out for some reason.

It started last Saturday when Silas got hit in the face roughhousing with his cousins. Nobody really knows what happened but he nose bled everywhere and started bruising right away so when he threw up and hour later we thought he had a concussion. But then we dropped all the kids off at my parents for a date night and he proceeded to throw up pretty much all over their house (Sorry, mom!) which puzzled us until Leah and I got sick also in the following days. Turns out it wasn't a concussion just a poorly timed stomach bug. Which I thought was bad until a few days later when Silas started showing symptoms of the actual flu. That was terrible. For three days he had such a high fever all day. He didn't eat, he didn't play, and he cried all the time. It was almost more then my heart could take. But on Friday he started to perk back up and is over the worst of it now.

On the positive side I have lots of pictures of sick kids snuggling or non sick ones playing around the house.
