Uugh. I hate being behind on my blog! Thanks for all to you who have been patiently checking for updates and thanks to you who have been sending subtle (or not so subtle) hints about how behind I am.
Ella's cute self turned 4 months old during December. She was quite a fun addition to our Christmas Celebration.
AND she got her first movie over Christmas too. If I wasn't so lazy, this is where I would insert a compilation of all the kids and their first movie pictures.
Silas was quite impressed when this remote car drove out as his last present. The kids were talking for days about the giant bow on top. Who knew they were so easily impressed.
On Christmas Eve we went to church and then Jake's parent's house. I didn't make it very far into the day before it became apparent that I had the stomach flu. Thankfully we weren't far from home so I headed back to our quiet house to rest. I felt better by the end of the day and was able to make it for the last few minutes of present opening.
Jody got a snickers bar labeled "hangry" in his stocking. Don't know why (wink wink).
This year we spent our first ever Christmas Day at home. I was kind excited to plan a dinner and snacks for us. We had steaks for dinner and apple pie for dessert, watched home alone, and made sugar cookies. It was definitely fun, though it didn't feel as holiday-y as our usual house-hopping celebrations.
New years eve was cold, cold, COLD. The low was -9 degrees. Yikes! We had church in the morning and then stayed home home and warm to celebrate the new year. We had nachos, snacks, played games, watched movies, and let the kids sleep in the living room.
Here is Eve and Ella in the same New Year outfit from Aunt Becky. I'm surprised at how different they look! No need for a can you guess which is which quiz.
This is the living room camp-out scene. Jake and I were cracking up at Leah. She is in that Mickey Mouse tent in the back left. She watched the entire movie from the window of the tent and then slept the whole night curled up inside it.
Wow! So much fun going on at your house!
