It finally happened

This week has finally been that amazing fall weather that you dream about all year long. Some year's it seems like mother nature totally skips this weather altogether and makes you just want to cry. But, literally, the weather has been perfect. Sunny and chilly in the morning warming up to a nice warm afternoon. So. Amazing. We have done our best to spend as much time as we can outside.

There was the annual Davis family cookout...

picnic at Grandma Joy's

And a trip to the petting zoo.

Eve finally got her first chance to ride a pony there. You have to be three but we squeezed her in a few weeks early. I felt bad about lying till I noticed the girl who went behind Eve was half Eve's size. She looked to be MUCH younger then Eve. The mom claimed she was three without batting an eye. Which totally made me feel better.
Eve was completely stoic from the moment she got on the pony. She kept eyes straight ahead and I was afraid she was going to burst into tears at any moment. But when the lady helped her off the pony she hopped to the exit gate with a giant smile on her face. Oh yeah, she loved it.

Ella is not a bit scared of those old goats.

A side note:

Eve finds the funniest ways to entertain herself!

My aunt Darcy introduced Eve to Madeline recently! She adores her.
