Our sweet Eve turned three. I love, love the cute little girl she has become. Of course, we had a princess party because that's just want little girls love. All she has talked about for months is getting a Barbie camper so Jake's soft heart insisted we get one even though I protested at every turn that was way to expensive a toy for a toddler.
The kids have already spent endless hours playing with it though so it might have been worth the money after all.
Even Silas gets in on the fun.
I'm not sure if I have mentioned this before but one of the things I love about Eve is she loves to hold hands. I remember even as a little baby when I would breastfeed her and want to hold my kindle and read with my other hand she was always searching out my finger to hold. At the time I was annoyed but looking back those are such sweet memories. Despite our efforts to attach her to special dolls or blankets to sleep with, when she can't sleep, she crawls into bed to hold my hand and sleep (I'm sure that will be a sweet memory one day too). I even come upon her holding hand with one of the other kids sometimes when they are watching TV or reading books.
Eve and Silas are best buds these days. They play together enough that their pretend games blend seamlessly into everyday experiences. Every week they jump up onto this stack at Aldi and spend a few quick minutes pretending they live in a castle before heading to the next idle.
