Happy Memorial Day

We've had quite a weekend so far. Friday was my last day of school. It was bittersweet because I'm so sad to leave my friends there, but so excited to finally be able to spend more time with my baby girl. I can't wait for the week to start so I can cook dinners, get the house cleaned up, and hang out with my baby. I wish I could bottle this feeling of appreciation for my new job as mommy. I know there will be days when it is no fun, but I always want to remember how lucky I am to have this opportunity.

When I got home the kitchen table looked like this. I'm not sure if I was more impressed by the fact that it was cleaned off or that there was flowers and a present on it.

Inside, the box was an external flash for my camera! I'm so excited because my built in flash takes a lot of pictures that look too bright, like this one. I'm not sure why but I'm hoping this will fix my problem.

On Saturday afternoon we had a wedding shower for my cousin, Amy. It was a lot of fun. I loved playing with my new flash but I didn't realize until now that I didn't really take very many pictures of the actual shower happenings. Oh well, I did get this picture of Amy with her new (awesome) pyrex set and the one below of Naomi cuddling with aunt Chrissie.
