Fun weekend

So here's a recap of our weekend. We had my papaw over for a quick visit on Friday. They live out of town so we don't get to see them very much. It was great to get to see them.

Also, on Friday Naomi had her first crawling lesson. Henry has volunteered to come over and tutor her since he's ALMOST 1 (I can't believe that) and is old hat at the crawling thing. Here he is showing Naomi one of his more advanced moves. She is clearly confused (click on the picture to enlarge it and see the confused look on her face).

After he demonstrated it was Naomi's turn to give it a try. You can see how interested she was in that idea. 

 Looks like that made the lesson officially over. Maybe next time she'll give it a try.

I've also bundled Naomi up and taken her outside to swing a few times this weekend. It is one of my go to activities for when she loud and cranky. Plus I love putting her in all her cute jackets and hats. This hat was made by my friend Brandy. 

I love it!

Yeah, I know it's gross that she chews on that strap but it's hard to keep it from her since it just hangs right there by her face. Oh well, I just tell myself it can't be that dirty, it gets washed with rainwater every once in a while, right?

Naomi LOVES to play with things out of the kitchen. I think it's kindof funny. Another of my go to activities when she is cranky is to give her a serving spoon or some other item out of the kitchen drawers.  I gave her my basket of teaspoons today and she played happily for quite some time.
