Even though Jake didn't have the day off, we still had a great Labor Day weekend and enjoyed plenty of family time. Though it took the whole weekend, we ended up seeing each of my siblings at least once. It was fun. Naomi got to take two bath in my mom's kitchen sink. She really loved getting to play in so much water (she still bathes in our baby bath at home which is pretty small).

She really loved playing in the running water.
After bath she went straight to a nap. When she woke up, her hair was dried a little crazy. But still cute, I think.
Spending quality time with uncle Dave.
I wasn't bothered at the time but looking at the picture on the right makes me a little queasy.

On Monday night we had Jason and Heidi over for some wonderful steaks. After dinner us girls took the kids outside to play. While we were having a great time talking, swinging, and just generally enjoying the beautiful weather, I noticed our neighbor come out and start looking around his swing set. I didn't think anything of it until I saw him start sprinting into his house with a can of spray in his hand and slam his door. So, we had to call an end to playtime due to mad wasps in the area. Thanks a lot, buddy! (eye roll)
Here's a video we caught after we came inside. Hannah and Red were playing tug-of-war with an empty water bottle. Naomi was overcome with how funny they looked.

Oh, by the way, we are getting Naomi started early on studying for her SAT's. It's never too early to be thinking about college, right?

Looks Like she is helping jake with his fantasy football team... he needs all the help he can get...
ReplyDeleteThat is the most adorable video yet!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely never to early to start :-) You should bring her to UNL for a college visit. Although we ALL know she is going to go to Kstate because that is where all the cool people go!
I miss you guys!
