Road Trip

This weekend  Becky, Trish, Naomi, and I went to Nebraska to see my sister, Chrissie, and to see The Hunger Games. We had a great time. On the four hour drive Naomi did real well until about the last 20 minutes each way (well not counting the beginning of the way home when she just needed to go to sleep). It really helped that Trish was sitting by her to play with her and feed her.

Being the idiot that I am, I remembered everything I needed but the pack n' play. So Naomi had her first chance to sleep on the floor. It actually went better then expected but I won't be making that mistake again any time soon.

I had to put in a picture of these singing frogs. They do a duet that Naomi is a HUGE fan of. I think we heard it about 100 times

The movie was very good. We all loved it. We went to an early showing that wasn't crowded so Naomi could have some room to roam. She walked up and down our row grazing on everyone's movie snacks.  Eventually, I cut her off from the snacks and she took about a thirty minute nap. Towards the end of the movie she walked around back by the door of the theatre. I couldn't see from there but at least I could hear. As far as movies with a one year old go I'd say it went really well.

Naomi was interested in the movie. For a few seconds anyway.

Naomi is finally able to get up by herself and I am so happy for her. She was starting to get real frustrated when she wanted up and I wasn't there to help right away. She still never pulls up like babies are supposed to so, but this gets the job done too and that's all that matters.

  1. So funny that Naomi got to go on the HG girls night! They don't charge for her right? We took Caleb at 2 weeks, but they made us pay for him! Thankfully, movies are $2.50!
