On Saturday we had a mother daughter banquet at our church. I love getting the girls all dressed up to go. It was a fun time. Naomi didn't love wearing a hat like I wish she did but she did wear it for a few pictures. Jake's Aunt Kris made these hat. They are so cute! Leah's is a little small these days but we made it work. They get big so fast :~(
Naomi's cousins looked so cute in their coordinating outfits. Hannah (pictured right) was cracking me up when I was taking pictures of her. She has a HUGE personality for such a little girl.
I love that Jennifer has ALLLLL these girls to attend the banquet with now (plus two awesome daughter-in-laws) to make up for the years of having to go with no daughter. Just goes to show the God has a sense of humor.
That evening, after naps, we had dinner at my mom's house. They have a bird that nested in their swing set. It is just high enough that I can't see in but Naomi can see from my shoulders. Before, when I lifted her up she would tell me there was two blue eggs in there. This time she announced there was a bird. I had to hold up the camera to be able to see for myself. On Sunday, after church, we went to Jake's parent's house where we enjoyed some fajitas and playing outside. Naomi was loving sitting with the big kids at lunch and jumping on the trampoline.
For a bit of throwback Tuesday (ummm, yea, Tuesday, whatever) I grew up loving these huge jawbreakers. Did you? Becky surprised me with one last weekend and Naomi asked and asked and asked until I finally shared with her.
Here's my latest project. This garage sale dress was totally cute but after I accidentally put in in the dryer (a couple of times) the dots started coming off so I rubbed off the rest and added some ribbon accient. So proud of myself!

Let me just say I am so excited Naomi learned to sit on your shoulders. It really made me nervous when she panicked every time we tried that. Love the hats and yellow dress! So glad Naomi finally met the twins.
ReplyDeleteGood work on the dress! Super cute! What a fun weekend :-)
ReplyDeleteThat jawbreaker pic of Naomi cracks me up! The girl likes candy. :) awesome job on the dress! You're so creative and crafty!
ReplyDeleteWay to go on the dress. I'll tell Joey to add you to the list of people who can sew and "fix" his clothes. (So far only Nana is on that list...) :)
