Naomi's first haircut

My pregnant self is feeling a little irrational and crazy lately and, unfortunately, Naomi's hair pushed it over the edge tonight. These precious baby curls have just been a mess of tangle recently and have been looking a little ratty and for some reason I decided that I needed them gone. Immediately.

 Before

 aaaaand after

Here are some carefully collected curls (sniff). I was fine until I saw how cute and perfect these looked in my hand. Then I really just wanted to glue them back (sniff, sob).

After it dried it curled up a little but I don't think it will ever curl like before. Those thin little baby hairs make great curls but also terrible tangles.

Since I have you here, I'll catch you up on our week. Sunday it was super snowy. Jake had some issues getting home from work Saturday night so we decided it would be better to not brave the road to church. Instead, we had a wonderful morning playing in the snow and opening our stockings. Naomi is a big snow eater. She stayed out almost an hour playing and munching on snow. Leah was not really sure what to think. She walked around and seemed to enjoy herself but wasn't interested in touching any white fluff.

Val, were you thinking Leah's blue coat looks familiar? It was Mackenzie's.When I saw it in the loft at Jennifer's I was absolutely overjoyed to be giving it some more use. Thanks so much for leaving it for future Manthes.

Stockings!

Turns out these water color paints are the best 99 cents I ever spent. After she got them out of her stocking she spent an hour and a half painting. Amazing.

  1. Naomi's haircut is really cute! Also I love the snow pictures because they aren't smiling but I bet it was a lot of fun!

  2. It is sad when you have to cut their little curls but it does make it a whole lot easier to manage! :)
