Chrissie's wedding weekend

Last weekend my sister, Chrissie, got married! We took a trip up to Nebraska to celebrate and had an amazingly (exhausting) super fun-packed weekend. Our Saturday started bright and early with a sister and sister-in-law breakfast.

Followed by a trip to the children's museum. There were so many fun things there. I wish we had several entire days to spend just exploring. Even the adults were having fun.

Leah's favorite (and possibly mine) was this bank drive-through system. You had to stick the scarf in the hole, and push the button and it would shoot up the tube and down the one outside the window. Who says working at a bank is boring.

Naomi's favorite was this toddler sized prairie dog town and, specifically, climbing this incline with a rope.

Ok, nevermind, this was my favorite. The fountain had little seats for kiddos to sit and splash in the water. The water was just barely out of Silas's reach, though.

After that, we hit Pizza Ranch (so good!) and let the kids nap. Next up was rehearsal. My folks are pros at this by now. Look how calm and collected the are.

Sooo ready for the big day!

For dinner, Peter's mom put on an amazing spread at a nearby bed and breakfast. The pork and twice baked potatoes were to die for! We ate out on the porch and kept the girls entertained by watching people out for a stroll with their dogs. Lucky for us it was a beautiful night and there were plenty of people out with their pups.

Piper was barley tall enough to watch dogs over the rail. Adorable!

Later that night Becky had a totally awesome girls night planned at the hotel complete with yummy snacks and Apples to Apples.

The big day dawned bright and beautiful and not at all the scorcher it could have been for an August day. After church we had a few hours to run around and get everything ready. Amazingly, everything came together perfectly. Here is Peter, my dad, and Silas waiting downstairs while Chrissie was getting ready. How handsome is my dad in his suspenders?! I love it!

Sadly, I belatedly realized that I have very few pictures of the girls in their cutsie matching dresses and I have no pictures or video of them going down the isle. What was I thinking!!! I totally hate myself for missing the awesome photo op too. These four did an awesome job walking down the isle. Naomi and Leah were completely absorbed in sprinkling their lavender buds while Piper and Lylah were defiantly aware that everyone in the church was staring at them. Lylah would run ahead a bit and then stop, cross her arms, and stare down the closest observer. They set the stage for a beautiful, seamless ceremony and reception. Everything, I think, went absolutely perfect.

Here is the happy couple entering the reception.

and my mom and Piper at the reception.

Congratulations, Chrissie and Peter. We love you guys!
