We started out the Christmas fun on Tuesday with a Grench movie party. We had who-hash, grench punch, roast beast, trench fruit kabobs, and Grinchey cookies. Jake's aunt Kris read the book for all the kids. They were captivated. It made me imagine what it would be like to have all these crazy kiddos in one classroom. Yikes! Scary thought.
Christmas eve morning we opened presents at our house. Leah was the cutest little thing with her pile of presents all around her.
We have pictures of the girls with their first Disney movie so...here's his.
Then we went to Fritz's with my parents and Becky. Silas was digging the hat.
That night we got all dressed up in the new dresses they got as presents and headed to the Christmas Eve service.
Christmas Day we played at Jake's parents all day. Stockings, presents, games, Settlers of Catan, and prime rib were all on the agenda.
Friday we spent the day with my family. Presents, movies, and puzzles took up most of the day. Have I ever mentioned Naomi is a total TV junkie? If it's on she can not tear her eyes away. Sometimes I love it and sometimes it drives me crazy. We were all got a good chuckle when we looked up from our various activities and saw she had pulled a stool right up to the TV.
My brother's twins got a learning tower as a gift. They were instantly in love and were so cute climbing in and out.
On Saturday Jake's parents treated all the grandkids to a trip to Power Play. I'm sure it cost a small fortune but the kids had a blast. Someone snuck Leah on one of the rides even though she was no where near tall enough to ride. She loved being grouped in with the big kids.
I love this picture because Silas looks so big. I can tell it won't be long till we are sneaking him on rides too.
