I feel like there is always a million fun things I want to do with the kids around Christmas but there is never time for it all. There is always next year though, right? This year we did have time for the girls and I to make some peanut clusters together. I love that the girls love to help me in the kitchen and I try to enjoy having them help. Last week I was so excited that Naomi had her first moments of actual helpful helping. I gave her an open can of olives and she cut/smashed them with a butter knife for our tacos all by herself. Thats a big step, right? Anyway... back to the peanut clusters.
We also made it out to DeAnna Rose farmstead to see the light show there. The girls and kids all snuggled in the back of our van and ate my grandma's caramel popcorn while the guys stood around complaining that they were cold and bored. Next year we decided we should hire a limo for the experience and maybe leave the guys at home.
I love the Sunday before Christmas. We opened our stockings, got all dressed up, and had just enough time for a few pictures.
Those Christmas family pics are fantastic! The kids look adorable. :) Kenzie's at the age where she can make stuff in the kitchen pretty much on her own! I'm thinking of assigning her a dinner night!
