Fireworks

I'm so thankful for the fun exciting fourth of July we had this year. For some reason that I don't know, none of our kids have one ounce of the "loud noise" fear that many littles have on the fourth of July so we had a blast running and playing and shooting off a million fireworks. Add that together with great weather and red, white, and blue treats out the wazoo and you have yourself a fantastic weekend.

Our patriotic snacks included but were not limited to...
mini fruit pizzas

pancakes (that's a minnie mouse if you can't tell)

and red, white and blue layered drinks.

On Friday, Silas was just the cutest little thing lighting a firecracker and then running for his life. Of course, when I tried to get it on video Saturday he had quit running for his life and wanted to stand and watch it go off after he lit it. Geez, we are going to have to keep an eye on that one.

Silas thinks he is going to skip the talking thing altogether and just start texting. That's how cool people communicate anyway.

Leah's favorite was the poppers. While the rest of the kids got bored and threw the rest of the bag down to stomp on Leah would throw every single one of them down one by one before going back for more.

The kids were loving making homemade ice cream for dessert (as if we hadn't had enough sweets). Not sure wether they loved the ice cream or the cooler full of ice best.

Jake likes to light sparklers and punks with a torch. I, personally, think it is a bit more fire then necessary but it certainly is effective.
