Fireworks fun

On Saturday these kids waited All. Day. Long. to do fireworks. The dads worked on putting tile in the bathrooms from 7am all the way up till dinner time. They played and waited and were so great and were finally rewarded for their waiting after dinner with some cash from Nana and a trip to the fireworks stand.

Eve seemed to really like the fireworks. She was so tired but just couldn't tear her eyes away. She watched and watched and eventually drooped down on Jody's arm where she kept watching until she couldn't keep her eyes open any more.

Then on Monday morning we got to start the day out swimming. It was pretty chilly so Eve hung out with team I'm-so-not-getting-in-there.

I joined team freezing-my-buns-off-swimming against my will when Silas coerced me too far down the pool steps and Jake dunked me. The girls were so sweet, though that I didn't even need to get offended. They were instantly offended for me and went around the rest of the day trying to recruit family members to avenge me. 

I'm just in love with these outfits my parents bought the kids. Those skirts made me smile all day long.
