Lincoln

 Some of us Davis family members took a trip to Lincoln last weekend. We started out meeting at Ivonna Cone.  They make all their own ice cream right there in the shop and have all kinds of crazy flavors. I picked a safe cinnamon flavor but Eve helped herself to some of my sister's Elderflower lychee flavor.

 I assumed she knew I meant pretend to lick it.

On Friday we went to the Lincoln Zoo. I was surprised at the amount of animals we actually got a chance to touch. They had middle school aged kids everywhere holding animals and offering the opportunity to pet them.  I loved it all until we got to the creepy crawly house and a girl had two giant hissing cockroaches just hanging out on her shirt. She was petting them and acting like they were the sweetest cutest thing. GAG! Thatissonasty!

 The kids favorite attraction was possibly Leo the trash eating lion. It sucked up all the paper that you held up to it's mouth and talked and talked nonstop about how hungry he was and how he needed more food.  I seriously saw a grandma reluctantly empty her whole stash of tissues one by one to her overzealous grandkids.

 It was fun to have a couple new faces back in the back of our car as we traded kids for car rides. Those are Lylah's sweet eyeball peeking over. She's my favorite.  I love them all the same.

On Saturday we went to the farmers market, They had so many fun things but I was too busy hanging tight to the kiddos to get pictures. We also visited a retro candy store. HELLO. That speaks my language. They had every one of my childhood favorites. I walked out with a Sugar Daddy for the way home.

On the way home the kids snoozed for the first part except for Eve. I kept her quiet by passing back grahm crackers and when that stopped working I broke down and passed her back some of my Oreos.  When I realized she had been quiet for a while without a cookie I crawled back and found her in a cookie coma. Oops.
