Silas is 3

We had a lego birthday party for my main squeeze, Silas, last weekend. My sister made the cake. It turned out awesome, as usual. Silas requested pop and cheetos for a birthday dinner so I threw a few hot dogs and chili in there too and called it a meal.

We had a couple of unexpected guest at the party since Jody and Jennifer had charge of a few cousins for the night. It was a super fun surprise for Silas since he really, really, loves his boy cousins. 

This tool bench from Nana and Grandpa has turned out to be really fun

and the scooter from my parents has too. Jake almost died last fall when Silas told my sister-in-law that his favorite toy was his princess scooter. So we definitely had to do something about that.

I know I have said this before but it is worth restating that Silas is the sweetest three year old on the planet! He plays really well with Leah in the morning when Naomi is in school but does great playing by himself or helping me when Naomi is home and playing with Leah. Sometimes they even all three play great together, sometimes. He loves to help me in the kitchen by pouring ingredients in and taste testing. He hasn't napped much since we took his paci a few months ago but often grabs a quick nap in the car when we go out in the evening. His speech is still very hard to understand which worries me but I also think it's super cute and try and catch it on video as much a possible.

I had to laugh when I looked over and saw Red watching Eve eat. He is pretty mellow lately but he would do darn near anything for a hot dog.
