It has been really, really cold around here the last few weeks. I can't think of much I like about it being below freezing for weeks at a time except for the fact that... ya know, I can't really think of a darn thing. But the kids got several chances to get all bundled up and play in the snow. They loved it. It's a lot of effort for a few minutes of fun for me but the look on their faces in this picture makes it all worth it.
The snow was up past Leah's knees this time. She only played for a few minutes before she had fallen in it enough times to kill the fun.
Naomi would stay out all day if we let her. Her gloves get wet and her fingers get numb and then she can honestly say she doesn't feel cold at all.
Thanks to Michelle and her genius we even brought the snow in to us a few times.
Naomi begged to build a snowman since the first snowflake fell. We had to wait over a week for the snow to get melty enough to stick together.
Now onto some indoor fun. Leah has shown her first inclination toward climbing lately. Hopefully we don't see much more but I do give her props for creativity, though.
Valentines Day was pretty low key for us this year. We got the the girls a little candy and stuffed animals that Red has already torn to bits. Silas rocked his new tie in honor of V-day. Who knew boys accessories (a tie is considered an accessory, right?) could be so cute!
So fun! Great pictures Katie!
ReplyDeleteYay snow pants! Also love the picture of Leah climbing, she looks so proud of herself!!
