3 months+ 18 months = a crazy lotta fun

Silas is three months next week and he is the best three month old you ever met. He spends most of his day in the swing or propped up on the couch out of his sisters loving reach. He takes a NUK, is usually super smiley, eats about every three hours, and is sleeping a 4 or 5 hour stretch at night. My one complaint is he is a big spitter. By the end of the day we both feel and smell like we have showered in spit-up. It doesn't seem to bother him much though and is already lots better then he was. I'm just thankful it breast milk spit-up instead of the super staining formula stuff. At his check-up he was 12 lbs 7 oz and 23 inches.

and...

Leah is 18 months old now. She has turned into a super sweet little girl. She talks like crazy and can almost always get her point across with words and gestures. She has even started saying three word  phrases. She loves baths, being outside, is a super eater, and shockingly prefers vegetables to fruit. She is not a climber at all but has the cutest little run and can do the stairs well enough for us to keep the gate open.

We have figured out that she has a skin allergy to most laundry detergents. The poor girl spent a LOT of time with an itchy rash while I figured out what was causing it. Now I know that anything she wears has to be washed several times in plain water before she can wear it. At her 18 month check she was 31 inches and 22 lbs. The doctor thought it was funny to note that her height and weight was exactly in the 50th percentile.

This is the new glare she has started giving. Where on earth would a toddler learn this?!

We think it's so cute when Leah see sees a bug and says "eeew!"

In other news, our family had our first visit to urgent care this week. Can you believe that?! We have been so, so blessed with healthy kids! Silas started running a fever Saturday night and since Naomi had been running one off and on too I took them both. It turns out they both had ear infections which is also a first for us. Antibiotics fixed their ears right up. Now if only there was something to hurry their nasty cough on it's way out too.
