Leah got to go on her first date with daddy this week. They went to a petting zoo and had a blast feeding chickens and goats. Jake said she loved bottle feeding the littlest goats which is crazy because they are actually pretty rough little guys but that didn't seem to scare her one bit.
While they were there, Jake picked up suckers for both the girls. They were both pretty stinkin' pleased to have a sucker as big as their face and they were both giant sticky messes about 5 seconds into eating them. Somethings are worth it, though, right?
Have I mentioned Jake loves to spoil these girls? They went out shopping for a Mother's Day present for me and each came back with their own little basketball. "We've been needing some good basketballs" he says. Naomi is almost always dressed like a princess these days. Purple shoes, purple crown, and a long or puffy dress are her favorites. She wants to always have her hair down or in braids. If I make her wear a ponytail she is absolutely heartbroken and sobs that "she's not a princess."
I got our jumper out this week. Silas is not really sure about it yet, but Leah has a brand new love for it. She's been playing in it more then him.
Lastly, it cracks me up that babies sleep like this, just sayin'.
Leah looked so cute for their date! I love the suckers and Naomi dressed up like a princess holding a basketball is a picture you will need I think! Silas is huge!

ReplyDeleteThe whole princess thing is so cute. There was a little girl about Naomi's age at church this morning wearing a little purple tiara. Made me want to join her :-)
