Diggin

The kids and I planted grass earlier this month and put out hay in the places where Red has killed all the grass so he won't be muddy all the time. I was a little nervous attempting this feat by myself with the kids but it actually turned out great. I gave Silas a bucket of dirt and a scoop and he played in that for a lot of the time we were working.

Naomi was actually very helpful. She's pretty great to have around these days.

I can't say Leah was exactly helpful but she spent some time trying and some time playing in the dirt with Silas.

After we went in and got cleaned up, I caught Silas relaxing on the couch. He does this quite a bit. I think it's so cute.

...and this video of Leah's favorite bedtime story these days. It is the old school three little pigs movie in a book format. Ya know, the one that has the song "who's afraid of the big bad wolf, the big bad wolf, the big bad wolf..." Got me? Anyway. Leah love to say the part "I'll punch him in the nose...I'll kick him in the shin." It sounds so violent when I type it out like that... crazy violent toddler.
