Halloween

We started off our Halloween festivities this year with pumpkin carving. It was so great that Nana got to come help which left me free to take some video and otherwise keep my hands goo-free. Here is the video masterpiece I shot. I titled it "Pumpkins from start to finish".

In case you don't recognize them, Naomi is a superhero named Owlet from a new show called PJ Masks (they fight crime in the nighttime...get it...PJs. Clever, right?) Leah is Tinker Bell and Silas is a monkey.

The Halloween festivities continued Monday when we headed to a halloween party at Nana's house. We had mummy hot dogs, ghost sandwiches, and orange popcorn along with bunches of other festive treats.

How cute is this ghost sandwich?! Love him.

Cookies decorating and Bingo were also big hits among the crowd.

This week Silas and Jake went out together for the first time to hang out. They had a great time at Cabbalas and T-Rex. While they were gone, us girls took advantage of our toddler-free time by making a gingerbread haunted house.

On Halloween we trick-or-treated at my parents and grandparents before heading out to the trunk-or-treat event at our church. Even little baby Eve got to dress up this year. I saw this costume on Pinterest and just could not pass up the opportunity. Go Royals!!!!!

Our church had 5 bounce house out for the kids to enjoy so we spent an hour watching them run and play. My pre-kids self would kick my current self for saying this but I appreciate this bit of sugar free fun on Halloween. I hate to be a kill joy but I can only watch so many skittles go into my kids mouths before I start having flash backs of Naomi's skittle vomit episode last year on Halloween. Silas was unsure of the bounce houses for the first 45 minutes that we were there. My dad finally helped him get warmed up to them but by that time he had missed most of the fun.
